Before Acerak settled down in Tierney, he was once traveled with a mercenary band, fighting against both the forces of darkness, and good (depending on those who hired him) and he often came to problems which could have easily been solved if he only had the right type of potion, or item...when he retired Acerak kept that thought in mind still and decided to open an Apothecary where he could sell different potions and salves that he made, along with various alchemical goods.
